Ever since Jon and I have lived up here in Northwest Arkansas we have always loved going down to the Fayetteville square to walk around in the lights. They do such a great job decorating the buildings that it makes for a fun date night. Now that we have Eva, we wanted to continue the tradition with her. We ate dinner at Tiny Tims Pizza and no lie, the temp dropped like 20 degrees while we were inside so we were all freezing by the time we started walking. The more we walked around trying to find a good picture spot, the colder it got. Finally we stopped, got a picture of her with each of us and called it a night. Next time I will be more prepared and cant wait until she's old enough to enjoy the carriage rides, live reindeer and pony rides! Christmas is so much fun with a little one!!

Morris Christmas Fun!
Every year its become sort of tradition for the Morris' to have friends over for some holiday fun! There are always games, great food, awesome company (Ryan and Sarah, The Kelleys, The Morris and us) and of course the traditional singing (and acting) of the 12 days of Christmas. This year was no exception and was even more special with 3 new babies in the mix!! Sallie Morris, Griffin Kelley and baby Eva made the party all that more wonderful. At one point we had them all in their bouncy seats but as you'll see they were most content in their Mommy's arms. No surprise we had a wonderful night, wonderful chili and caught up with wonderful friends. What a great way to start the Holiday season! Thanks Rich, Renee and Sallie!
Our gracious host, Renee
Eva was pretty partied out!
The site of where Jon found the pickle!
Lindsey and Griffin (2 days younger than Sallie)
Sallie Grace not really wanting her picture made :-)
We loved hanging out with our newest friends Ryan and Sarah who are getting married in May! Congrats!!
Sweet Parker Kelley was wanting a picture with us. Poor Eva's head was cut off in the picture but you can see her hands.

"Two Month" Checkup
Today was Eva's "two month" check up - she'll actually be two months on Christmas Day so we went a week early. I have been dreading this appointment for weeks as I knew this was the first round of shots. If anyone knows how skittish I am about shots then you'll understand why this was so hard on me. But I kept telling myself that its best for Eva and that's all that got me through it. E did great though. She was all smiles before the nurse came in (obviously not aware of what was about to happen). Then she got her oral vaccine which she took well and then came the 3 shots in the legs. Good thing she has gained some weight and had fat on her thighs. She cried the worst cry I have ever heard from her for about 5 minutes and then fell asleep. Its 9 pm now and she has seriously only woken up twice to eat since we got home at 3:30. So she's doing well (as seen in the picture) and of course survived... more than that Jon and I survived with only a few tears between the three of us. The highlight of the appt though were the stats below:
As of today (Dec 17):
Weight: 9 lbs 4 oz!!!!!
Length: 21"
Head Circ: 14.8"
These measurements moved her from the 10th to the 40th percentile!! So we're still on the small side but have really caught up over the past 5 weeks!! Thank the Lord for a perfectly healthy baby!
We will go back when she's 4 months old to do the above all over again!

28 Years Later
I couldn't resist posting this more to document than anything.
Of course its a sweet picture but the reason is better.
Tonight after Eva's bath I decided to go ahead and get in the Christmas mood with Eva. This is my precious little angel in the same pajamas I wore on my first Christmas! They fit her so perfectly so I must have been a bigger baby (since I would have only been 3 weeks and she is 6). I thought the memory was worth sharing with you all. I am so glad the PJ's were saved even if just for a picture!
So here's an early Merry Christmas from Eva!
Eva Smiles!
One of the greatest joys of motherhood so far has been seeing this little face light up. This week Eva has hit a big milestone... she's smiling on her own. Its so neat to look at her and smile and have her smile back. Of course I have seen this smile when she's sleeping but to know she's smiling because Jon or I are smiling at her, rubbing her face or just because she recognizes us is an amazing feeling.
Here is what I got to look at today while relaxing on the couch. Hope you enjoy as much as I did.
Recognizing Mommy smiling at me...
Which caught my attention...
Then let out the biggest grin! Just melted my heart!
